Locoustic is acoustic architecture: deliberately composed soundscapes that create a calm working environment for your brain. No streaming service. No podcast player. A tool.
Press play. The next track follows automatically. No playlists, no choices, no decisions.
Built for brains overwhelmed by too many options. Locoustic decides for you – so you don’t have to.
Whether ADHD, ADD, ASD, Asperger or AuDHD – Locoustic creates a low-stimulation acoustic environment for focused work and learning.
How it works
An endless, shuffled sequence of instrumental tracks. Steady, without vocals, without abrupt changes.
Add rain, waves or brown noise whenever you like. On their own, combined or without any music at all.
One dial. There’s nothing else to set up – and that’s the point.
Locoustic is a focus radio in your browser. It plays an endless, shuffled sequence of functional sound tracks that create a calm working environment. No streaming service, no podcast – a tool for your working day.
Primarily for people with ADHD, ADD, ASD (autism spectrum), Asperger or the combination AuDHD. Just as much for anyone dealing with decision fatigue or needing a low-stimulation, non-distracting environment for work – highly sensitive people appreciate it too.
Zero Choice means: no playlists, no selection, no menus. You press play and Locoustic takes over. The next track follows automatically. The principle: every decision costs energy – and you need that energy for your actual work.
No. Locoustic runs entirely in your browser. No registration, no login, no account. Just open it and press play.
Yes. Locoustic is free, without ads and without hidden costs. If you’d like to support further development, you can do so voluntarily via TWINT or Ko-fi.
You can add rain, waves and brown noise to the music, individually or combined – or play them without any music. They mask background noise such as conversations or traffic and make your sound environment more even.
Speech pulls attention: we automatically tune in to words, even when we’re trying to read or write. That’s why every track is instrumental, with steady dynamics and no abrupt changes.
No – and that’s intentional. What you hear are functional tone sequences that borrow from jazz. They’re meant to carry you in the background, not to entertain. Real jazz is best enjoyed live.
Brain.fm and Endel offer lots of options: genre selection, timers, intensity levels, gamification. That can be great – but also overwhelming. Locoustic takes the opposite approach: radical reduction. One button instead of twenty settings.
Spotify and YouTube are entertainment platforms. They show ads that break your flow, recommendations that distract, and they ask you to decide: which playlist, which mix. Locoustic is the opposite: a tool with a single function.
