Privacy Policy
As of: October 2026
At Locoustic, privacy isn’t an add-on but a principle: you don’t need an account, we don’t use tracking and we don’t collect data about you. This policy explains which data still arises for technical reasons when you use locoustic.fm and what happens to it. We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. The essentials
- No account: you don’t need a user account.
- No personal data: we don’t actively collect names, email addresses, payment details or any other information about you.
- No tracking: we don’t use analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics) and don’t create usage profiles.
- No advertising or analytics cookies.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website and audio files are delivered via the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit the website, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data transmitted by your browser:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page or file requested
- referrer URL (the page you came from)
- browser and operating system
This data is needed to deliver the website securely and reliably and to fend off attacks (legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or overriding interest under the FADP). We don’t analyse it on a personal level and don’t combine it with other data. Cloudflare only provides us with aggregated, anonymous statistics, such as the number of page views.
Cloudflare may also process data outside Switzerland and the EU, in particular in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses also apply. Find out more in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
4. Cookies and local storage
Locoustic doesn’t set any advertising or analytics cookies. For security reasons, Cloudflare may set a technically necessary cookie (e.g. __cf_bm) to distinguish automated traffic from real visitors. It contains no information about you and expires after 30 minutes at most.
Your browser stores two settings locally (Local Storage): your chosen volume and colour scheme (light or dark). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
5. Audio in your browser
Music and ambient layers are played and mixed exclusively in your browser (Web Audio API). No audio data is collected and no microphone is used. The music tracks are created with the support of artificial intelligence from Suno AI.
6. Support via TWINT and Ko-fi
On the homepage you’ll find links to TWINT and Ko-fi in case you’d like to support further development voluntarily. Nothing is loaded from these providers when the page loads. Only when you click one of the links are you taken to the respective provider, whose privacy policy then applies (TWINT, Ko-fi).
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, as well as to restrict processing and to object. Since we don’t process any data about you apart from the temporary server logs, we usually can’t attribute any data to you. You can reach us with requests at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
8. Data security
The connection to locoustic.fm is encrypted throughout (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss and unauthorised access.
9. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here always applies.
